So the cold war has been over for some time; the Berlin wall has come down; China has opened its iron curtain; South America has seen some important political transformation, and the USSR no longer exists! I still have a travel passport statitng I am from the USSR. Global revolution, everyone! Hoorah. We are now building a unified world where language, races, and cultures are mixing. This is no surprise to anyone. I am reading headlines as I do and skimming over the progress popping up like readied kernels all over the web and world...technology is climbing, DNA research is toppling, the world is a playground for new scientific, spiritual advancement. We are living in a time of glory, people! But then I read this: "The method could be especially important when dealing with the corporate sensitivities of global competition." From an article titled "Software Promises More Efficient Design Process" (source The link will pop a new window) Something boils inside suddenly...what IS it??! We are still globally competing! Being a tech geek that I am, I read stuff like that and am very interested and in love with technological advancement - after some years of wanting to throw my computer out the window. I am amazed at the soybean powered car that a bunch of highschoolers invented, HIGHSCHOOLers! (source), etc, etc. And yet, we are still competing. This has an impact of the countries, sure. In the greater sense, this type of competition has prevented the type of mixing that is happening now - people didnt like other people unless they came from within borders. Can competition be eradicated and should it? Is sharing going to disturb intellectual growth leaving most work to "another" rather than yourself? Are we as humans is NEED of a competitor to push us? And do we require "winning"? Can the whole world be "sustainable"? Is poverty trully eradicatable when the world DEPENDS of using others to feed ITSELF? With global competition still in full effect, how are people like you and I impacted? People who want to change the world, people FOR open-source, and pro sharing. I would LOVE to get a discussion going on this...please share!

Does everyone have one? If I have one, how do I find it, and if I find it, what are they for?

...can we learn to speak effectively about spiritual and energetic things? Is it at all possible to articulate your thoughts about it all without sounding like 5 year olds? Can we speak about peace, love, compassion, etc., without appearing to be on acid? I can agree, I'm a New Yorker, sort of impatient... fine. I can live with that. But let's GET EDUCATED. And this is noone I have encountered personally on this network. I just browse and read blog posts, and references in the think tanks. And I apologize if that sounds wrong, or whatever. But come on. If people are to have small revolutions of awareness and power, and then big changes to come in our governments, countries, we have to sound like educated, trustworthy people! I have been down many "propper" roads, and thousands of back alleys. I learned how to speak to both sides of the table - even as I, myself, is a fusion of the two. I have an education, have worked on Wall St., traveled to many places, opened my mind in many ways, spoke to God! (woot :) and found that neither side can or should exist on its own. When I hear someone on and on about the energy and being of life in a way that strikes me as just fluff. My head wants to ask, "ok, do you have a job?" My mother says "for every teacher, there is a student" - that no matter what you teach, there will be someone with whom that will resonate. I do have acceptance of people. Bu this is my view: Draw wisdom from the old ways. Learn what you need to learn in order to feel the innefable connection between yourself, the sunlight and humanity. But SPEAK like an adult. Be coherent. Be informed. Explain what you mean without going to extremes. Learn what the world knows about science. Speak on a level where you can blow them away. Then your energy information will be strong and will have some meaning. New Age wont win the world. We have to fuse and integrate. Ok, feel free to pelt me with tomatoes now.
